How to Draw the Line in the Sand… and NOT MOVE IT!

Feeling ready to draw the line in the sand and start fresh? I’m so glad you’re here to hear about the most important lesson I’ve been teaching lately. It’s about making decisions and actually following through with them. It’s a journey that starts with a simple step, and I want to guide you through it.

Making a clear decision can be a game-changer. It all starts by figuring out what you want and what you don’t want. Have you ever made a “Flip It” list? It’s a great way to see the path ahead and imagine the new you. But sometimes, even when we know exactly what we need, it’s hard to take that first step. That’s where the “line in the sand” comes in.

The first step to drawing the line is to be willing to do it. I like to call it your line of courage. This line represents a change in thinking and a declaration that you are done with the old you. You can draw this line in a moment of frustration or excitement, but it’s important to keep seeing it even when the initial energy wears off. The best way to do this is to write it down and make it real. Write down what you want above the line and what you’re done with below the line. And don’t forget to cross off the things you’re done with as you go.

The next step is to acknowledge the strings from the past that have held you back. We all have things that hold us back, and it’s important to recognize them and deal with them one by one. These strings could be things like indulging in dessert at your mom’s house, always feeling like you won’t have enough money for the things you want, or having your heart broken by someone you trusted. Write down all of your strings and don’t be afraid to talk to someone about them. You’ll be amazed at how much easier it is to tackle them once you’ve recognized them.

So, how do you keep from moving the line? It’s all about changing your mindset and making a commitment to yourself. You have to be ready to cut the strings that have been holding you back and make a promise to yourself that you will stay on the other side of the line. This is your journey, and you’re in control. Don’t be afraid to ask for help and support along the way.

So, are you ready to draw the line in the sand and make a change? I believe in you! Let’s do this!
